General terms of the reservation

DRIVING LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum age for groups A, B, C, H & I is 21 years, for all other car groups it is 25 years. A valid driver's license held for at least one (1) year is required. To rent a car in the Republic of Moldova, customers who do not hold a driver's license issued by an EU / EEA country must also present an international driver's license together with the national license. Damaged or expired driving licenses are not accepted.

PAYMENT METHOD: To complete the rental, the contract holder must present a valid debit or credit card accepted by Hertz, which will be used for all pre-authorizations and for the collection of final payments.

EXCEEDING THE RENTAL PERIOD: At the end of the rental period, Hertz allows the delivery of the vehicle with a delay of 29 minutes, after which a fee of at least one full rental day will be applied.

CANCELLATION / NO SHOW: If the customer does not cancel the reservation at least 48 hours before pick-up, Hertz will apply a Late Cancellation fee of €40.
If the customer does not show up for pick-up, the No-Show Fee of €77 is applied after 1 (one) hour from the date/time of the reservation, excluding flight delays (provided that a flight number or other details of travel to be communicated before pick-up).

EARLY RETURNS / LATE RETURNS: Unused vouchers/rental days are not refunded. The extension of the rental period must be announced 48 hours before the agreed delivery date, and is billed according to the official daily rates.

CROSS-BORDER TAX: Cross-border crossing is possible only under certain conditions and after making a request to a Hertz office for all vehicles, except luxury ones. The request must be made 5 days before the pick-up date, and the cost is €80.

ASIGURARE: Toti conducatorii auto autorizati pentru conducerea autovehiculelor Hertz sunt asigurati impotriva incendiului si raspunderii fata de terzi in caz de deces, ranire sau alte pagube materiale. Acoperirea ambelor asigurari face obiectul Termenilor si Conditiilor General Hertz.

AMENZI DE TRAFIC SI SANCTIUNI: Toate amenzile sau sanctiunile rezultate din incalcarea legilor de trafic de pe teritoriul Republicii Moldova in timpul perioadei de inchiriere sunt suportate exclusiv de catre client.

ASIGURARE SUPLIMENTARA CU RASPUNDERE (CDW / SCDW): Responsabilitatea financiara in caz de dauna adusa autovehiculului inchiriat poate fi redusa (conform Termenilor si Conditiilor din Contractului de Inchiriere) pentru Grupele A, B, H, si V3 la €600, pentru Grupele C, D E, I, J, N, P si V4 la €750, pentru Grupele S, Q si T la €900, iar pentru Grupele U, V, Z, Y si V5, V6 la €1.300 prin achitarea unei taxe de €11, €16, €24 si respectiv €32.

Responsabilitatea financiara in caz de dauna poate fi redusa suplimentar la valoarea de 150€ pentru Grupele A, B, H, si V3, la valoarea de €200 pentru Grupele C, D, E, I, J, N, P si V4, la €300 pentru Grupele S, Q si T, iar pentru Grupele U, V, Z, Y si V5, V6 la €400, prin achitarea unei Asigurari Suplimentare cu raspundere Minima in valoare de €13, €17, €25 si respectiv €32, pe zi de inchiriere.

Pentru a beneficia de Asigurarea Suplimentara cu raspundere minima (S.C.D.W.) este necesar sa contractati si Asigurarea cu Raspundere (C.D.W.). Responsabilitatea financiara nu se reduce este redusa in cazul daunelor sau pierderilor urmatoarelor: echipamente si accesorii, documente, anvelope si dedesubtul autovehiclulului.

THEFT PROTECTION (TP): The financial responsibility in case of theft is reduced to €600 for Groups A, B, H, V3, for Groups C, D, E, I, J, N, P and V4 at €750, for Groups S, Q and T at €750, and for Groups U, V, Z, Y and V4 at €1,300 by paying an additional amount of €6, €8, €12 and €16 respectively per day rental, with the exception of theft of personal property.

ZERO LIABILITY INSURANCE SERVICES (SC): Zero Liability Insurance Services in case of theft or damage to the vehicle can be added to Standard Liability Insurance (CDW), and Minimum Liability Insurance (SCDW) and TP Theft Insurance when this is included in the booking costs or by paying an amount of €7 for Groups A, B, H, V3, €10 for Groups C, D, E, I, J, N, P and V4, €12 for Groups S, Q and And for Groups U, V, Z, Y and V5 €32 per rental day.

It does not apply in the case of damage caused to the following: under the vehicle, tires and rims, windows, keys, documents, clutch, damage caused by lack of oil or as a result of the incorrect use of fuel, damage to the vehicle caused by the use of any explosive material, detonation or intentional arson, damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or damage caused by an unauthorized driver.

AIRPORT TAX (ASC): All airport pick-ups include an airport tax of 10 euros, which excludes the possible costs of refueling or damage to the rented vehicle.

WINDSHIELD PROTECTION (WSP): Financial liability for windscreen damage can be waived (zero liability), for a fee of €2 for Groups A, B, H, V3, €3 for Groups C, D, E, I, J, N, P and V4, €4 for Groups S, Q and T and for Groups U, V, Z, Y and V5 €5 per rental day (without exceeding the equivalent of 15 days).

INCIDENT ADMINISTRATION FEE (IAF): In case of an accident due to the customer's responsibility, he is obliged to pay a fee of €30 for managing the incident.

FUEL POLICY: For rental periods of 1-2 days, the customer has the obligation to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel displayed at pick-up. When the fuel level does not correspond, the customer will pay the amount of the fuel difference. A charge for Fuel Refueling Service of €10 will also be applied

For rental periods of 3 (three) days or more, the customer has the obligation to pay in advance the value of the fuel in the rented vehicle at the time of collection. Upon handing it over, the equivalent value of the fuel in the vehicle's tank at that time will be returned. When the amount of fuel is less than the amount in the tank of the vehicle at the time of collection, the charge for Fuel Refueling Service of €10 will be applied. Any refund will be made using the customer's credit/debit card.

The price per liter of fuel is calculated as the average of the local prices in the area where the vehicle is rented. The fee for the Fuel Refueling Service is €10, and Hertz reserves the right to change it without prior notice. Any repayment or dispute must be communicated at the time of delivery of the vehicle. After issuing the invoice, Hertz will no longer be able to accept refund requests. A brochure containing the Fuel Policy can be found at Hertz locations and is available in 5 international languages.

FUEL REFILL SERVICE: €10

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: For each additional driver a fee of €5 per rental day will be paid. (without exceeding the equivalent of 10 days).

CHILD SEAT: Child car seats are available on request for a fee of €4 per rental day. (without exceeding the equivalent of 10 days).

NAVIGATION SYSTEM (GPS): It is available on request for an amount of €3 per rental day. (without exceeding the equivalent of 10 days).

WINTER CHAINS: Winter chains are available on request for a fee of €3 per day. (without exceeding the equivalent of 10 days).

WINTER TAX: The winter tax includes the cost of equipping the rented vehicle for winter conditions and is applied from October 1st to March 31st.

PICK-UP / RETURN: Pick-up/Return outside the operating hours of local Hertz branches can only be available on request. A minimum fee of €30 applies for the delivery/pickup of the rented vehicle at an address other than that of a Hertz branch. For pick-up/return outside working hours, a fee of €12 per case applies.

AVAILABILITY OF THE FLEET: Depending on the availability of the fleet, Hertz reserves the right to provide a vehicle of a different make or model than the one registered in the reservation, from the same group or a higher one.

TAXES: All the above fees and charges do not include VAT or other local taxes.
