1. Driver Requirements

• Minimum age: 21 years for some vehicle categories, 25 years for others.
• Driving experience: at least 1 year.
• Required documents:
  • EU/EEA citizens: valid national driver’s license.
  • Non-EU/EEA citizens: national driver’s license + international driver’s license.
• Not accepted: damaged or expired licenses.

2. Payment and Deposit

• A valid credit/debit card is required for pre-authorization and final payment.
• Deposit: €300 (may be reduced by purchasing additional insurance coverage).

3. Late Return / Extension

• Grace period: 29 minutes after the agreed return time; after that, a full-day rental fee applies.
• Early return / Extension: unused rental days are non-refundable; extensions must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance.

4. Cross-Border Travel

• Allowed only on request, except for luxury vehicles; €100 fee applies for travel to Romania.
• Forbidden areas: Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia.
• Ferrying the vehicle is not allowed.
• Ukraine: additional fee €250.
• Violation of rules will void all insurance coverage.

5. Insurance and Liability

• Standard insurance: covers fire and third-party liability.
• CDW / SCDW: reduces liability for vehicle damage; additional daily fee applies.
• TP (Theft Protection): reduces liability in case of theft; additional daily fee applies.
• Super Cover (SC): zero excess; applies only if CDW, SCDW, and TP are taken; additional daily fee applies.
• Exclusions: vehicle undercarriage, tires, glass, keys, documents, clutch, incorrect fuel use, intentional damage, alcohol/drugs, unauthorized driver.

6. Traffic Fines and Administrative Fees

• The renter pays all traffic fines; administrative fee €50 per incident.

7. Fuel Policy

• Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up.
• Any shortage is charged plus a refueling service fee of €12.
• Fuel price is calculated at €3 per litre

8. Additional Services and Fees

• Airport fee: €10 (excluding fuel and damages).
• Windscreen protection (WSP): daily fee applies (max 15 days).
• Additional drivers: €5/day.
• Child seat: €5/day.
• GPS: €5/day.
• Snow chains: €3/day.
• Winterization fee: from 1 October to 31 March.
• Delivery/Collection outside office: minimum €30; after hours €23.

9. Road Assistance and Fleet Availability

• Fleet availability: Hertz may provide a vehicle of equivalent or higher category if the reserved model is unavailable.
• Taxes: all prices exclude VAT and local taxes.
